Blank Page

Blank Page

Another day I can’t fulfil my plan.

It has agonisingly become the norm

That my pages should stay blank

And my ideas won’t receive a solid form.

Why do my gifts stay wrapped?

If there is a barrier, there has to be a key

That unlocks the box of thoughts trapped

And unleashes them to come out free.

Am I a victim of perfection,

Or scared of finding my own flaws?

Or have I gotten the infection

Of being unable to express own thoughts?

Such anxieties upset me

Instead of getting words arranged

and laying them correctly

Onto that damned blank page.
